Microsoft exFAT (Extended File Allocation Table) Technology is a file system optimized for flash drives and installing this package will allow your NAS to access an external storage device that is formatted in exFAT.
However, if there is an existing license on a NAS returned to Synology and you would like to transfer the license to your repaired NAS, please provide (1) your Synology Account, (2) the serial number of the NAS returned to Synology, and (3) the serial number of the repaired NAS returned to you to the Synology Support Team. If you wish to use another Synology Account or NAS, a new license must be purchased. Additionally, licenses cannot be migrated to another Synology Account or NAS. A new license must be purchased for each individual NAS if multiple NAS are to be used. Note: Software authorization can only be designated to a single Synology Account and can only be used on a single NAS.
